Irish-born songwriter Bernice Walsh has recently relocated to the Jonzac area of southwest France and is looking to connect with local musicians to form a band, with a particular interest in jazz-funk and contemporary sounds. Drawing on a diverse musical background, Bernice writes across a variety of genres, influenced by musical parents, Irish roots and many years spent living in London, where the city’s vibrant music scene helped shape a broad musical perspective.
Bernice’s new single, ‘Sold My Soul’, is now featured on the A-List Playlist, alongside a special daily POWERPLAY at 8:30 PM Berlin Germany time running for the next month.
Alongside music, Bernice works as a stroke rehabilitation therapist and chef nutritionist. Now settled in France, the aim is to find like-minded local musicians, particularly retired music enthusiasts, interested in informal jam sessions and open-mic nights.
Bernice’s Celtic songs have previously attracted attention on SoundCloud, reflecting another side of a songwriting catalogue that spans multiple styles and influences.
